By the end of the course the learner should:

  • Understand the role of the Care Plan within the Aged sector
  • Have a practical understanding of how to properly communicate with residents and coworkers
  • Be aware of the importance of recording and reporting any incident, and
  • Understand their responsibilities regarding the Care Plan

  • Why Care Plans are necessary
  • What a Care Plan is and what it contains
  • The National Minimum Standards regarding the Care Plan, and
  • Communication, recording and reporting
