Teaches the learner about the different forms and impacts of prejudice and discrimination, how they affect the workplace, and how to avoid behaving in a prejudiced or discriminatory manner.

Learning Outcomes

This course will give the leaner:

  • An understanding of the different behaviours and actions that constiitute discrimination
  • Awareness of how discrimination affects others, and
  • A practical understanding of how to eliminate or reduce discrimination in their workplace
Course Content

The equality and diversity course covers:

  • What equality and diversity are
  • Concepts of fairness, prejudice and stereotyping
  • Behaviours and actions that constitute discrimination
  • The Acts, polices and procedures that aim to eliminate discrimination, and
  • How to reduce discrimination in the workplace
