Objectives

Recognises the main causes of fire in the care sector and identifies the types and uses of various fire extinguishers. The course identifies the dangers and hazards on means of escape routes and identifies what to do in case of a fire. The training covers how to react according to the fire plan and routine including evacuation procedures. It also outlines the legislative framework behind fire safety in the workplace.
