This course aims to give users an understanding of the key issues relating to health and safety in the workplace. It outlines the responsibilities of employees and employers in relation to health and safety, and provides an overview of hazards in the workplace and the risk management process.

At the end of the course, the learner should have:

  • A sound knowledge of the risk management process
  • An understanding of how to comply with health and safety procedures in the workplace
  • An awareness of hazards and risks and how to manage them safely

The OHS Fundamentals (Existing Employees) course covers:

  • An overview of the risk management process
  • What you should expect to find in the workplace to help you work safely
  • Complying with health and safety procedures
  • Defining hazards and risks
  • The different kinds of hazards there are and the preferred ways to manage them
