Learning Outcomes

At the conclusion of the fall prevention course, the learner should have:

  • An awareness of the different obstacles and problems facing residents
  • A knowledge of how falls affect residents and who is at risk
  • A practical understanding of the different techniques and practices used to safely eliminate and reduce the risk of falls, and
  • An understanding of the need to remain proactive and alert when working as a carer
