Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course the learner will be equipped with:

  • An understanding of the different types of abuse and their causes
  • Awareness of the symptoms and signs that someone is experiencing abuse, and
  • Practical knowledge of how to appropriately manage abuse
Course Content

This course covers:

  • What abuse is and who is at risk
  • Signs and symptoms of physical or financial abuse
  • How the different risks presented by abuse can be eliminated or reduced, and
  • A person-centred approach to protecting vulnerable adults
